Class of 2024 Homeschool Graduation

We are honored to be able to provide an annual Homeschool Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2024 Graduates! This commencement is open to all homeschool seniors, hosted by GotOptions Home Educators Association and Viretas Co-Op. You will register for graduation through Got Options website.  When you register, there will be a small fee per graduate. Those costs help us print programs, host a small reception, purchase  some event supplies, and provide a small thank you gift to our  volunteers (keynote speaker, photographer, the sound team, and the tech  team).  Monica with Got Options is leading the primary communication and  registration for the commencement.  Veritas is responsible for the  elements of the ceremony itself, including designing the graduate's picture slideshows that will be shown as the graduate is called to receive their diploma.

Graduation will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church in North Myrtle Beach on  May 11th, 2024.  This is a non-ticketed event, and you are welcome to  invite as many friends and family as you want to celebrate your Senior. Graduates and parents will have reserved  seating in the front few rows.  As parents award the diploma in South Carolina, this reserved seating allows the parents to have easy access to the stage, and an up close view of the entire ceremony. The  photographer will cover everything and pass along a link so you can download your pictures of the commencement, of the graduates, and family portraits (upon request).

We  will have a rehearsal, pictures, and a break ahead of the actual commencement, and the schedule will be posted on Got Options website, as  well as be included in future emails.

Families need to provide: cap and gown for their student in the color of the  student's choosing; any sashes and tassels the student has earned; and  the diploma and diploma cover.  There are many affordable and easy sites that help you cover these items, letting you make purchases according  to your families' budget.

Families also need to provide 3 to 4 pictures of their graduates to Heather at veritasnmb@gmail.com,  for the ceremony slideshow.  You will also have to provide a brief  introduction or letter to your child that will be read as the family processes to the stage.  We have samples from last year and will  communicate more on that closer to commencement.

A schedule for the event: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Rehearsal; 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM Break /Group Photography; 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Commencement; 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Reception
